paddling your kayak down the fox river
How it Works
When you call to book your kayak trip on the Fox River, we will answer all your questions, set up the date and time for your trip and ask for a credit card number to secure the reservation. Payment is cash only on the day of the trip when we meet you at the launch site.
We will give you directions to the destination where the trip ends where you can leave a car. Look around, as this is where you will be getting out of the water.
You will then drive (or Uber) to the launch site. This is where we will meet you.
We will do the processing for your kayak trip and then you will launch and be on your way. For all trips you will be paddling downstream with the current.
We will meet you at the end of your adventure where your car will be waiting. You can then drive home, or back to the launch site to get your other car if you brought two.
It is recommended that at least one person in your party have a cell phone so you can call us if needed or want to take photos.
We have a limited number of phone bags on lanyards available to protect your phone.
We rent single, one person kayaks only at this time. We provide a life jacket and safety whistle to each person as well as a paddle with paddle leash connected to the boat. We recommend you dress for the weather and wear shoes or sandals that can get wet. Sunscreen and a hat will keep you more comfortable. Be sure to keep hydrated with plenty of water!
You may want to bring a snack for the trip. It is recommended that you bring Ziploc bags or similar waterproof protection for things like keys, cellphones and cameras. A bag for trash is recommended as well. Now you're prepared to have an enjoyable day kayaking on the Fox River!
